Show OVERTON, NEVADA. Second crop of lucern in the stack; third crop growing very fast.' Grain all stacked. Plowing for stubble corn, sorgum cane and millet is the rush now. Some in and growing nicely. One of our men L,um Eulklay, shot a man, a saloon keeper, at White Hills, a few days ago. It must have been in self defence as Lem returned here last evening, The shot did not prove fatal. We see in The News that sister Mary L. Judd has passed away. We all in this ward feel it a very great shock that one so strong and healthy, and who has been so useful and done so much good, must leave us. We sympathize sym-pathize with her relatives and friends. The Lord doith all things well. Muddy. . Overton, Nevada, July 13, 1898. Our creek is running lower this year than usual.
