Show vv Thursday, May Randall, Tomsic cited Dinos as top honor athletes CEU Two freshmen students at CEU, Chris Randall of Morgan and Kendra Tomsic of Helper, were cited last Thursday night at the Eagle award banquet as the outstanding male and female athletes during the past school year. The banquet, held in the CEU cafeteria, featured Belmont Anderson, star BYU basketball player the past three years, as the guest speaker. Anderson was bom in Price while his parents were residents of Emery County and lived in Huntington the first three athletes Miss a Tomsic, dominuative graduate of Carbon High, has been active in sports throughout her school years. She was a member of the CEU volley ball team and is an out- - Randall, who earlier this year was named to the ICAC basketball team, was an outstanding prep athlete at Morgan High School before enrolling at CEU. Van Dyke was also cited for being the outstanding scholar on the basketball team with grade point average of 3.84. Phil Broadhead, Sandy, was the winner of the inspirational player award for basketball for the second year in a row. He was also the leading free throw shooter in the squad, ranking nationally. Other awards to women athletes went to Gwen Donaldson, Price, volley ball; and Peggy Hancock, Salt Lake, gymnastics.
