Show SUDDEN DEATH. We regret to learn of the death of our highly respected citizen, Brother C. C. Hurst, who departed this life on Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock. He had been suffering for several years from consumption. On Monday evening when his brother called to see him he seemed to be in about the same condition as usual, and had been in his store during the day. Later in the evening his brother was sent for in great haste. He arrived in time to see his brother alive, and shortly afterward pass away. Brother Hurst was greatly beloved by all who knew him, and we feel that we have sustained a great loss in his departure. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family in their bereavement. The funeral services were held in the Tabernacle basement, on Wednesday forenoon, and were largely attended. The congregation was addressed by President Wm. (William) R. Preston, and Elders J. A. Leishman, Alvin Crockett and Thomas Morgan. |
