Originally the idea was to have a foundry, with a gallery. It has grown to include plans for the sculpture park and an education center where art classes can be taught by local artists, as well as a reception center. Smith looks forward to having a seminar focused on helping artists express their own personal approach to art, as opposed to technique-focuse- d classes. He envisions courses not only on drawing, painting, and sculpting, but on art appreciation and history, along with center-sponsore- world-wid- d with this, don't allow your children to have large amounts of unsupervised or unstructured time. "Art needs to be an integral part of a person's education," said Smith, indicating that learning about art helps a person learn how to enjoy life's experiences. "And enjoying life's experiences is every bit as important as being able to bal- ance a checkbook." One of their main goals, according to Smith, is to create a facility that will function as a place to help people become acquainted with a broad range of art, from traditional pieces to those that push the spectrum of what people are familiar with. Her male passenger also happened to have a $1,660 statewide warrant. Both were booked into the Utah County Jail. Lehi Police served warrants on six people, three from Lehi and three from Orem; most of the warrants were from the Lehi District Court. One of the men from Lehi posted bail for his warrant, the others were booked into the Utah County Jail. Jack O'Lantern seems to be responsible for damage to three cars on the north side of Lehi as residents reported that windows in their vehicles were shattered by what appears to be a pumpkin. No suspects are available. Police looking for suspicious man Lehi Police are still investigating an incident that occurred at the Lehi City Cemetery Monday night. Two teenage youths reported that a man, dressed in black, jumped out at them while they were walking in the cemetery Monday about 8 p.m. the girls started to run, the man ordered them to stop, saying he had a gun. Whether the man actually did have a gun is unknown; the girls continued to run out of the cemetery and to the nearest home, where they called police. As Police blocked off the cemetery to conduct a search on foot and with the help of a county canine unit. Even after widening the search area, detectives found no evidence of the alleged attacker. The investigation, however, is continuing, and police have put extra officers on patrol in the area. "When it's dark like that people need to be either in a vehicle or at home," said Assistant Police Chief Chad Smith. "They need to stay out of that situation." Residents of Lehi, particularly those who live near the cemetery, should be on the lookout for any strangers and should not be on foot after dark. Police looking for suspicious man Provo police Lt. Stan Eggen said three individuals were arrested after offices observed a drug deal in a parking lot at Foxes Landing in Lehi. After further investigation officers gathered information about the possible existence of a meth lab at 370 South 500 East in Provo, and prepared a search warrant for that resi- dence. Two large meth labs were discovered and the residents were taken into custody at the Provo residence and three more individuals were arrested. too far.
