Show Services Held For Myton Resident MARIETTE S. PORTER MYTON Funeral services for Mrs. Mariette Sailor Por-frr- 81- of Myton, were held Wednesday at 10:30 a m in the Myton LDS chapel. Bishop Syerl Dennis officiating. Burial was in the Price cemetery. Mrs Porter died at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital Sunday at 2:50 p. m., of causes incident to age. She was born Nov. 5, 1868 in Montgomery City. Mo., a daughter daugh-ter of William Perkins and Joanne Jo-anne Smith Weeks Sailor. In 1888 she was married to Ralph Lee Goodrich in Missouri. Mis-souri. He was killed in a railroad rail-road accident a few years after their marriage. In 1903 she was married to Chauncey U Porter, at Emma, Idaho, and in 1927 the couple was remarried in the Manti LDS temple. They lived in Greenriver until 1935, when Mr. Porter died. Mrs Porter then moved to Spring-ville, Spring-ville, and then to Myton in 1944. She had been a resident of Utah about 40 years. Active in the LDS church, she had served in the Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday school groups in Myton, and had been a worker in the Manti temple She is survived by two sons, Ralph Lee Goodrich, Spring-ville, Spring-ville, and Aaron Porter, Hite: two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Roberts. Myton, and Mrs. Doris Lott, Provo; seven grandchildren, grandchil-dren, two great - grandchildren, i six brothers, and two sisters, j |
