Show I FAIRVIEW j Mrs. Mary Ann Cox, Clement age 6 wife of Albert Clement died at her home October 12th. She was hurt in a runaway accident on October Clh. Her in. 'Cs were not considered serious ser-ious nt f tst but she died in less than one week after.. She is su: -iced by her husband and four children, ani thirteen grand children. Funeral services were held in the North ward chapel Tuesday. Bishop Henry Jones presiding. Music was by the Fairview choirs, with a solo by Jesse L. Young and a quartette by Mrs. Ellis Coombs. Mrs. Lew Peterson, Jesse L. Young and Stanley Brady, Also a solo by Mrs. Loyd Clement was given by special request (He is a grandson) Speakers who paid loving tributj ol honor to her memory were: Wm. E Bohne, Mrs. Fred Danlelson, M-s. Morton Sanderson. Mr. C. L. Pritchett of Salt Lake, A. G. Young of Richfield and George F. Olsen. Closing remancs by Bishop Graham. Floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. Interment was in Fairview cemetary Henry Jones dedicated the grave. Mary Ann Cox Clement was the daughter of Edith and Jehu Cox was born In Fairview in January 1872. Her parents were pioneers of Fairview. She married Albert Clement in the fall of 1889. They have four living children. Mrs. Reuben Orton and Raphael Clement Clem-ent of Fairview. Albert Clement Jr. of Murray and Mrs. Angus Cox of Himtington. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters. Mrs. Albert Stewart and Mai Cox Lyman Cox of Salt Lake City Mrs. Eric Johnson of New Hope, Idaho, Mrs. W. H. Stoker of Lapoint, Mrs. W. H. Morrison of Monroe. Mon-roe. Mr. John Orton and Mr. James Orten, Mr. Frank Cox and Austin Cox and Mrs. Wm. Garlic of Fairview, Mrs. Jed, Terry and Roratio Cox of Idaho. Mrs. Clement was a relief societ7 teacher and a faithful latter day saint. The following are attending the Snow College at Ephraim: Miss Zetta Anderson, Miss Ester Coombs, Miss Glenda Rlgby and Arden Wilcox of Fairview. Mr. Demar Anderson, Val Sundwall, Artie U. Miner and Adriel Norman arc going to school at the University of Utah. Mr. Archie J. Anderson, Miss Ora Anderson. Miss Ha Miner. Miss Hilda Peterson, Ross Graham, Wendell and Leland Nielson, Reeve Norman, Curtis Allred, and Miss Zella Cox are attending attend-ing the B. Y. U. this year. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Rigby announce the birth of a baby girl at their home October 9th. Mrs. Rigby was formerly Miss Mary Noel of Vernal. Mrs. Gwen Graves and children are guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Anderson this week. The following teachers are attending the U. E. A. at Salt Lake City this week. George F. Olson, Jesse L. Young, Merlin Mer-lin Madsen, Roland Rigby, Mrs. Ellis Coombs and Misses Inez Jeppson and Eda Parkinson of the High school. Maitland Graham, Stanley Brady, Otis Nielson, Misses Leah Madsen, Malba Nielson, Melba Anderson, Mrs. Eda-Graham Eda-Graham and Miss Gladys Graham of the Public school have gone to Salt Lake this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Southworth of Salt Lake City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Day this week. They were on their way to Phoenix Arizona, where they will make their home for the winter. Mrs. Henderson Cox and Mrs. Eric Johnson and son came from Idaho to attend the funeral of Mrs. Clement and are visiting relatives here this week. Mr. Jesse P. Coombs age 29 died at Salt Lake City last Thursday. He was a student of the U. of U. Mrs. Coombs was formerly Miss Randa Madsen of Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Madsen and family Mr. and Mrs. Alden Peterson Peter-son of Mt. Pleasant, Mr. Roy Cox and Miss Era Cox, Miss Erva Norman, Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Harvey all attended Mr. Coombs funeral at Salt Lake Sunday. Sun-day. Many wonderful tributes were given by speakers in honor. Flowers were unusually beautiful and profuse. Mr. Coombs had filled a mission in California was a faithful latterday saint, was an ardent church worker in his ward Speakers were Bishop Forsdeck Walter Robinson, Bishop Richards Bishop H P. Hansen. Thf funeral was held in the 27th ward of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Coombs returned with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Madsen to Fairview and expects to spend the winter here. |
