Doug never walked a step in his life, and never weighed more than 75 k at pounds; He suffered a Christmas time, and was never able to regain his strength and weight. He weighed a mere 55 pounds when he died peacefully, Thursday morning at 3:30 a.m. I first met Doug at a Roy High School baseball game. I had seen him at numerous sporting events at the school, and marveled at his keen interest in athletics. We talked, and I took his picture for a feature article that 1 later did on him. 1 .found out that he was born and raised in Liberty, Utah, the son of Woodrow and Bernice Stock Shaw. The security guards came rushing in to help, but Eric bounded to his feet, and Doug almost laughed himself right out of his wheel chair. They made a hasty retreat, then, while the guards just looked at each '' other and scratched their heads. Eric Burton is the top wrestler on the Weber High School varsity team.
