The district is negotiating with teachers and classified personnel to finalise the 1990-9- 1 salary and benefits packages. They are required by the legislature to give a 61000 salary increase. They are also offering lane changes to the teachers, as well as a switch to Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. With those increases and the loss of students, Mower estimates the district will be $100,000 to $150,000 in the red.
