Show TEST RUN, Friday, May 3, 1968 Hostesses Invited To Service Club PLUMP, FRESH, AND TENDER... SPLIT An appeal has been cent to the American Legion in Salt Lake City for Junior Hostesses. A junior hostess Is a girl who is part of an organized group that attends dances and other social activities at a military service club. A service club is a recreation center for enlisted service- - These rules are made to further the enjoyment of all. If there are any adults with time and interest to help at these functions, the Service Club would appreciate the assistance. For more information about being a Junior Hostess or helping out please call the service dub, men and their guests. Hostesses must be unattached girls, 18 years or over and out of high school, who will agree to abide by the club Desert Drifts . rules. The Army service dub furnishes a chartered bus for hostess transportation fin dances and special parties from Salt Lake City to Dugway Proving Ground. Listed below are some of die rules that Junior Hostesses must abide by: I. Stay with your group. Come and leave with it. All trave- to and from the post (except by kjedal permission) must lie in the bus officially designated. You may not accept rides home with a soldier, and he is not allowed to ride on your bus. L NEVER LEAVE die service club for any reason, and dont enter areas in the club designated as Off Limits to hostesses (TV or music rooms upstairs). Exceptions to this rule must have the approval of the club director or assistant director. 3. NO public display of affection at any time, any place. This includes saying goodnight before you board the hostess bus. 4. Dance with as many dif-forent men as possible. Avoid letting a limited few monopolize your evening One of the chief complaints of the men is that most of the girls are dated before they arrive. If you feel justified in refuting a dance, tit die dance out go to the powder room, or talk to the man, but do not dance that particular dance with another man. Avoid hurting anyones feelings. in i 5.
