Fairfield, Layton, died May 27, 19K0 in the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful. He was born Oct. 28, 1896 in Manassa, Colo., a son of Martin B. and Emma H. Gibson Echols. .- ON OCT. 3, 1918, he was married to Margaret Webb in Central, Ariz. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. HE WAS a high priest in the LDS Church and had worked as a laborer. , Surviving are his widow; three daughters. Mrs. Darwin (Emma) Lunt, Mesa. Ariz.; Mrs. Ivan (Leila) Robinson. She left Layton to travel to Las Vegas, Nev., where she met her sister and brother-in-laand four others who would be traveling together on the Caribbean Cruise. They flew from Las Vegas to Miami, Fla., where they boarded an oceanliner for a week of sailing and island visiting in the Caribbean. They stopped at Porta Planta, San Juan and St. Thomas. After returning to Miami, Fla., Mrs. Davjs separated from the other tourists and continued up the coast of the U.S. to Washington, D.C., where she stayed with her daughter, LaRae Davis who lives there. The mother and daughter spent some time on a friends farm in Virginia and they visited many historical places including Monticello, Harpers Ferry and the Smithsonian Institute. As soon as Mrs. Davis returned home, she left again to journey to Spokane, Wash., where she attended the high school graduation of her grandson, Bart John Bennett. He is the son of Barbara Davis and John Bennett. Mr. Bennett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Zenus Bennett of Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. (Annebelle) Wall returned home recently after a two week visit to Dundee, 111., where they stayed with their daughter and their son-in-la- family, Anthony and Ann Wall Amone. The Amones seventh child was born May 7 in Illinois. All members of the family have surnames beginning with the letter A. The baby is to be named Alexis Ruth. Other family members are Adrian, Andrew Paul, Alan, Amy, Ann Elizabeth and Alma. The Walls left Illinois to stop briefly in Minneapolis, Minn., where they stayed with their son, David Wall, his wife and their children, Eddie, Jessica, Sarah Jane and Warren. David Wall is an airline pilot for Western Air Lines. Former Layton residents, Lanny and Claudine Rasmussen, are announcing the birth of their thrird child. The boy was born May 23 in the McKay-De- e Hospital. He will be named Kyle Sill. Claudine-i- s the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Eldon E.
