Show CIVIC CLUBS PLANNING BIG XMAS FESTIVAL MEE MEETING TINCo HELD AND CENTRAL COMMITTEE APPOINTED TO WORK OUT PLANS FOR A SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY EVENING PROGRAM ALL TO BE TREE FREE TO THE PUBLIC presidents and ail breads heads of bf all civic and religious organizations tiong in Roose roosevelt Nelt met monday coining in ili the directors rooms of the roosevelt commercial club for tho the purpose of formulating plans for a community christmas celebration tit in order ti stimulate joy OY and happiness into hito the hearts of the citizens of thia community during the holiday season george georg e 11 harrlson harrison president of the roosevelt commercial club was selected chairman of the meeting and after explaining the nature of the meeting he invited suggestions from thoss those present after considerable discussion the following setup was properly placed and adopted A sat arday evening program consisting of a christmas tree and santa claus entertainment in the ward chapel for the kiddies the tree ii to be decorated and it Is understood that old santa will be there in person to see that each and every child gets a stocking there will also be a special program arranged 2nd and sunday evening in the L D S ward chapel there will bs be held a special christmas service under the direction of the ward bishopric and the reverend john joan leacher of the trinity church 3rd ard the festival to end up with a free community dance in the ward hall merchants of roosevelt will be asked to lend color and good win wil I 1 to this joyous festival by decorating their places of business and by hiving having a christmas tree decorated and placed in front of their place of business the city of roosevelt Is going to be asked to put up a big coro com merrity anun ity tree in it the center of town and have the same decorated bishop ray E dillman was unanimously chosen chairman of the central committee and liis committeemen were picked as follows reverend john leaher fenton williams clr mrs J 0 orser and al E lundberg |
