other year in the history of ct the and have distributed the same across the entire state we have stocked the streams with more cieli fis ii than ever before no not so many large fish as in 1932 but considerable vider sid erable a ble in number the in inauguration aug of the planting of german brown and native trout has haa aronen worth the effort and we are again this year planting three million of each of these varieties I 1 of fisli fishing has been good in the state in the last three years but it is not from the lack of a fish planting program it is due to the tact fact that we have had three of tile the drnest years in sixty one years all in a row rov water is at a very low ebb and in many instances streams have entirely blied up A record of the number of 0 fish the size and kind I 1 an and the name of the streams ins planted I 1 ante in your locality has b been ell sent to you through our depre representative dative J P madsen of duchesne the law enforcement so tar far as I 1 fines are concerned has been below normal but that fewer people have been apprehended tor for violation ot of the law but the economic conditions with which we are confronted has made the judges more lenient and in many instances instance the arresting officers have been compelled to withdraw any action because of privation in individual homes some things inaugurated in the game department recently which have proven to be egita while are I 1 the inauguration of a a land leasing plan whereby grazing between the same game department arid and the livestock interests has been beneficial in ali so far as we have been able to carry that program out 2 the creation and enlargement or of areas to impound water has been very beneficial to fish life 3 steps have been taken to develop locomotive springs and othor other pi projects ejects of this nature tile the springs project is an abc acc accomplished fact arid and our on en delvois are now turned turied to south ern an anil 1 game of the state with relation to range and livestock in ill will be of great assistance in the proper management of our big game herds 6 we have bave this year proven to our satisfaction that a rm r m can call be worked out whereby the agricultural people may be compensated pens pen aled sated tor for the raising of pheasants this experiment was carried out in three counties of our state last ear through th 11 A II 11 clubs and was very 7 we have also inaugurated a campaign against t predators pieda pleda tors and through tills this same organization which we hope will wil be e in saving many service the public la 10 we have kept the entire organization employed paid our debts and leave bave a cash balance the curtailment of revenue has made it impossible for us to do many things which we
