Show communication roosevelt standard when I 1 arrived at provo I 1 decided to come on up here to school so here I 1 am the college spirit kept active here in the school almost every day student body activities of some kind are engaged in the day before thanksgiving the student body offered prizes to the boy and girl wearing the loudest sox about fifty young men competed and about twenty five young ladies every kind of a bright stocking imaginable could be seen from the competitors peti tors were chosen seven boys and six girls who had the loudest sox before the judges gave their decision it was announced that this was not a leg show and that the blending of the colors would be the consideration in giving the decision the leggy people get it the evening following was designated as shirttail parade the male students met in the center of town in night gowns and pajamas to the mhd freshmen was detailed the work of cutting figures on the streets with the b bind nd wagon while the remain de der s of the students went through all kinds of maneuvers to represent their loyalty to the institution after a few hours of expressed enthusiasm all the towns people were awakened from their slumbers and appeared on the streets street s the wagon was pulled to a large bonara and after a few stump speeches and yells the large crowd dispersed the following day the university of idaho met the agri culture college in football and although though the were defeated they played a hard game at night the college kummers presented a vaudeville A purely student affair that had been very cleverly gotten up thi This was followed by a dance to close the evening |
