Robinson has been an active member in the Spanish Fork community since he and his wife moved1 here 14 years ago. He has served on the Spanish Fork City Arts Council for seven years and was the chair of the Sesquicentennial celebration. He has also emceed for numerous events over the years, including the Fiesta Days parade and the Harvest Moon Hurrah. Currently, he also hosts "Spotlight," a television show on SFCN which is in its sixth year. It is apparent through his involvement in the community that Robinson loves Spanish Fork and its citizens. He laughed when he commented that several people have been asking him about a for sale sign out front of his house. "My wife and I are planning on moving — but just to another house in Spanish Fork," he said. "We love living here. It's nice to have roots. We've been here a long time and we plan on staying here." Robinson has also done a lot of work that has taken him all over the country. He has done commercials for both radio and television has also been the Master of Ceremonies at events put on by many naitonal organizations/ Robinson said he is very Dana Robinson excited to work at Spanish Fork News. He explained how print journalism is different from some of the other modes of media he has worked in. "Basically, print tells a story, but it also gives the opportunity for businesses to get noticed and to succeed with their products and services in a way that's very tangible. You can hold it in your hands." Robinson said looks forward to closely working with the businesses in the community. He said he just enjoys people and doesn't have a shy bone in his body. "I look forward to working with the different organizations and the city itself and the citizens," he said. "I'm excited to help things grow and hopefully help things become better. I have some ideas that I'm bringing in that I think the business community, as well as the private sector, will enjoy. And hopefully they will be very effective. Only time will tell." Veronica Michaels named Elite Retailer Veronica Michaels recently received an Elite Retailer of the Year award from Jim's Formal Wear. Jim's is the largest formalweardistribution network in the U.S., with over5,000 independent retailers. They provide tuxedo rental services for weddings, prom, and black tie events. The award is based on rental volme, order accuracy and exceptional customer service. Veronica Michaels has been renting tuxedos from Jim's since 2003.
