Show Covering what matters most A4 • WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2007 Wedding Benjaminites gear up for Halloween Round and About Benjamin Kathleen Olsen Adams, Finch Lisa Miller-Adams of Spanish Fork is pleased to announce the marriage of her daughter, Chelsea Marne Adams, to Jacob Ryan Finch Son of Ryan and Jerri Ann (Hughes) Finch. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception in their honor on Saturday Nov. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Benson Building Located at 275 South 1400 East Spanish Fork. Grandparents of the Bride are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller of Salem. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. J. Wayne Froncis of Salem, and the late Richard Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Finch of Spanish, Fork, formerly of Payson. The couple will reside in Spanish Fork. City Manager addresses Kiwanis Club David Oyler, Spanish Fork City manager, recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club about the city's future growth. He informed the members that the city is in good shape for several years to come. As of Oct. 2003, our population was 29,356 residents. When newly built homes become occupied, the population will be around 39,000. The city has enough water to support a population of 65,000. The sewer treatment plant can handle up to 55,000 residents. Our power requirements can take care of 62,000 people. Future plans for Spanish Fork include an expanded trails and parts, system. A new business area in the former North Park section of town. Several major business, including Home Depot, will be included in this area. Also, a disc golf course will be built next year on land near the present golf course. Oyler also pointed out the SFCN and facility is one of the finest in the world. Dale Peery conducted the meeting, Deloris Nelson led the music, Wayne Nelson led the pledge, and Bert Timpson gave the prayer. Paul Hawker arranged for the speaker and introduced him to the group. David Oyler began working for Spanish Fork City in 1975. He married Susan Banks and they have seven children. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a costume parade". Those participating in the parade should meet at the northeast corner of the church. Parking will be available on the east or west side of the church and treats may be handed out from the car trunks following the parade. Refreshments will be served on the north side of the church. Everyone is invited to join in this community celebration. ••• Congratulations to A.J. and Ashley Moon Bradley ,who were married on Friday, Oct. 20, 2007, in the Salt Lake Temple, with a family dinner honoring the couple after the ceremony. Born Nov. 2, 1927 to Oliver Willard and Ferrell Blackett Nelson, she married Gilbert Hjlmar Olson. They have five children: Leon (Susan) Olson, June (Gary) Dutton, Lois Ann Olson (deceased), Kay (Mark) Bailey, and Karen Olson; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Helen is pictured here with her,siblings and mother, in the 1940s. On the front row is Helen, Marie Water and Louise Atwood; back row is Wm. James Nelson, Ferrell B. Nelson and Wendell' Nelson.
