Show margarett cherry dead mrs Afar margarett garett cherry another of the pioneers of 47 and one of the early settlers in davis county passed away at her home in centreville Cen treville on monday oct at 4 p in surrounded by nearly all of lier her children she died in the house where she had spent nearly half a century of her life it being bein 0 the first adobe house built in centreville Cent Cen revillo treville she reached the good old age 0 of eighty seven years she was a widow thirty four years she went to bed on new year s day from which time she continued to grow weaker jintil the end came however she did not suffer a great deal of pain deceased was born in pendleton county kentucky february alth 1811 and was married to aaron B cherry in 1829 1820 or about that hat time they moved to nois where they took up a farm on hearing bearing of a mormon conference bein being c held at nauvoo they at tended the alie samu samo being bein C moved to do so principally out of curiosity but when they heard the prophet speak they became converted and at once identified themselves with the church of jesus christ of latter day saints to which church she ever afterwards proved a true and faithful member they left their home and came to this valley in 1847 arriving in salt lake city oct 3rd ard of that year the spring 0 of 58 they moved to centreville Cen treville which has been her home ever since five out of her seven living children married and settled in centre ville beside her seven children she had thirty five grand fifty tifty t two we great reat grand and four great great grand brand children to comfort her heart fou fourteen arteen 11 grand and sixteen great grandchildren died the f funeral services eq were to bo bg held beld on thursday at 11 1 p in |
