Show work studies GRANTED BY E.I.M. CO. A limited number of work scholarships schol-arships in tool engineering will be offered students during the current cur-rent school year by the Eastern Iron and Metal Corporation. Set up as a cooperative plan between be-tween collegee and the corporation, corpora-tion, the program will call for a regular school work load in addition addi-tion to part time employment in the EIMCO shops. The purpose of the shop work being to familiarize famil-iarize the student with the type of machinery and tools he will one day design himself. After two years in this field, the students will move into EIMCO's engineering department to actually actual-ly begin work toward their final goal of becoming tool engineers. In addition to part time empoly-ment empoly-ment during the school year, the selected students will have the opportunity op-portunity of full-time work during dur-ing the summer months, with added assurance of permanent future with EIMCO upon completion comple-tion of the four year course. Offered for the first time this year, the program will include as many as four new students each year who will be selected by the Westminster College engineering department and chief tool engineer of EIMCO. |
