Show Popular Couple Married at Temple The marriage of Miss Lavora Beck to Loyal O. Jensen, at the Manti .temple Wednesday morning of this week,' and the reception following j during the evening, proved one of the real social events of the early summer. sum-mer. The marriage ceremony was performed at the temple, the usual cremony being caried out. Immediately Immedi-ately following, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen returned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. I A. A. Beck, parents of the bride. Wednesday evening the Centerfield ward chapel was the scene of an elaborate wedding reception, given by Mi and Mrs. Beck. The chapel was profusely decorated, white and lavender laven-der colors, in clever designs, being carried out in gorgeous array. One hundred and fifty guests were pres-i pres-i ent at the reception and at ten o'clock a splendid wedding supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Jensen were the recipients of hearty congratulations con-gratulations and best wishes for a happy and prosperous journey through married life. Mrs. Jensen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Beck, and is a native of Gunnison Valley. When she completed com-pleted her grade school she entered the high school, graduating with honors. Only recently she returned from a mission to the southern states. Mrs. Jensen is popular among the young'er set and has been a leader in church and social work. Mr. Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Jensen, one of Manti's pioneer families, is well and popularly known in Sanpete county and other parts of the state. He also returned lately from a mission. Mr. Jensen has been connected with the Continental Bakery Bak-ery at Salt Lake and only recently he received a merited promotion, being be-ing advanced to the position of general gen-eral manager. Mr. and Mrs. Jensen will leave soon for Salt Lake where they will reside permanently. |
