J. Nelson of Logan, who recently were married. Mrs. Davis was formerly Miss Grace Thompson, and Mrs. Nelson was Miss Helen Hulme. Both were of Logan. Giant petunias formed a centerpiece for a long tabid, and other garden flowers were used about the rooms. The guests, in addition to the guests of honor, were Mr. and Mr. Bert 0. Harward of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Ward, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Griffin, Miss Jess Anderson, Miss Nctaa Todd, Miss Connie Shaw, Miss Ivle R. Larsen was hostess to the members of the Social Development club at a delightful bridgel luncheon held Friday afternoon at Willomere. Each small table was attractively .decorated with a vase of goldenrods and a delicious three-courluncheon was served by Mrs. Jh W. Whitman to twenty members and the following guests: Mesdames' Alf Olsen, Eugene Wixom, Roy Larsen, Wm. E. Davis, Ben Knudson. C. H. Bryan, R. P. Forsgren and Orville Merrell. Bridge honors were awarded Mrs. C. H. Bryan, high score, and Mrs. William E. Davis, cut prize. se Officers of the Box Elder Stake' Primary association entertained the Primary officers of the various wards and a few visitors Friday evening at the armory building in this city. Mrs, Loa Johnson was mistress of ceremonies and Mrs. W. R. Dredge was in charge of the recreation. A demonstration was given of the dances that will be Introduced by the various ward officers at the Primary home, coming program to be given at the high school campus Friday evening, September 12th, Delicious refreshments were served to 108 ward officers, 11 board members and 6 visitors present. Orion Eskelsen entertained the members of the LApres Midi club Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mildred Rasmussen. A profusion of beautiful garden flowers adorned the rooms and were used to center each small table, where a delicious luncheon was served by Mrs. Rasmussen. Following the luncheon, bridge was played and prizes were awarded Mrs. James Brown, high score, and Mrs. Morris Mrs. two-cour- se The Peach day committee announced today rules for the regulation of the 1930 Peach contest to be held the evening of September 11th. The committee will Institute) a new innovation in connection with the event this year by having the revue on the stage at the armory in connection with the dance to be held that night, according to plans now being arranged by the committee and the Bluebird ballroom management. A special attraction this year will be the one and only apin pearance of Miss Utah connection with this event, not as a competitor, but as a special guest and at the request of the Peach day committee. A suitable prize commensurate with that given in former years, is being arranged for by the' committee, and will be definitely announced in a later issue of this paper. The rules of the contest this year are as follows : 1. Any girl may enter by submitting a suitable photo to the Secretary, Room 23, First National Bank building, on or before September 1st, or a friend may enter her by submitting her name providing such photo is furnished within one week thereafter. Suitable photos will be required and girls who have none may arrange to hare same taken without expense by calling at the above address, or by telephoning No. 32. 2. Those girls competing at the finals will receive a free pass to all the festivities controlled by the committee, while the winner will ba named Miss "Box Elder Peach, given a prominent place in the pageant, and presented with an attractive prize to be announced in detail at later date. 4.
