All children from infancy through five years of age, and their caregivers, are invited to attend for stories and learning activities. Children are introduced to books, music, and art, and participate in learning activities. Infants to 3 years, 10:30 a.m.; four and five year olds at 11:00 a.m. A craft activity to follow at 11:30. March 11: The next meeting of the Ogden Valley Chapter of Weber Pathways will be Tuesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ogden Valley Branch Library in Huntsville. We will begin the process of determining trail alignments in each particular community or neighborhood in the Valley, and we will have free copies of the Master Plan available. Come see what the Master Plan looks like, and give us your ideas on where pathways should go in YOUR neighborhood! Please plan to attend. March 11: The Weber League of Women Voters will host a public meeting to discuss recommendations for the juvenile justice system on Tuesday, March 11, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the main Weber County Library in downtown Ogden. The community is invited to attend. March 11: At an arts, science and craft workshop offered at the Eccles Community Art Center, Ogden; for children ages 7 to 10 years old. March 26: Star Party at the Ogden Valley Library at 7:00 p.m. There will be a slide show in the Ogden Valley Library auditorium, and then they will go outside to look at the sky with telescopes being provided by the Ogden Astronomical Society. March 28: Eats of Eden will be kicking off a month long celebration of their 10th year anniversary by giving cake to their customers all day Friday. Eats of Eden is located at 2595 N. Hwy. 162 in the Eats of Eden Plaza. For more information call 745-8618. March 29: A Bird’s Eye View, Photographing Birds with Long Lenses, with photojournalist instructor Leah Hogsten at the Ogden Nature Center. Using your own equipment or borrowing some of Leah’s, take a long look at birds in their own environs. Learn basic techniques such as using a variety of long lenses and using light and composition. Traipse Nature Center trails to capture returning species such as Juncos, Red Winged Blackbirds, Quail, Orioles, Chickadees, Waxwings, Downy Woodpeckers, and others as they begin their spring rituals. March 29: 28th Annual Northern Utah Women’s Conference. “Woman to Woman . . . Each One, Teach One” Will be held at the David Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Registration from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. Conference from 9:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The conference focuses on enhancing women’s awareness and skills leading to success in their careers, homes, schools, and communities. Keynote speakers include Dr. Sandy Petersen, Administrator of Instructional Services for Davis School District, and Shauna Lake, KUTV news anchor.
