An open house will be held from 1:30 to 3 p m. tomorrow (Friday) at Pioneer elementary to honor Dorothy Merrill, who will retire this year after 2Vk years in teaching A graduate of Utah State University, Mrs. Merrill taught in Davis and Alpine school districts and at Millcreek school in Granite district. She has been teaching at Pioneer the past 19 years and for 17 of those years has also served as accompanist for the school chorus. I have really enjoyed the choir. It has been the fun part of teaching and 1 shall miss it, she said.
