Baird BENEFIT SHOW FOR RHEUMATIC FEVER SUFFERERS All members of the community commun-ity are invited to attend the Rheumatic Fever Amateur Benefit Ben-efit show in Provo high school auditorium, Friday and Saturday Satur-day evenings, Nov. 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. All proceeds will be used for rheumatic fever sufferers suf-ferers of Utah county. This affair is being sponsored by Utah County A.F.&L. Union, and is but a beginning In their effort to awaken citizens to the dangers of this dread disease, rheumatic fever. There will be 38 local participants, partici-pants, ranging in age from 4 to 74, and promises to be highly entertaining. A radio broadcast broad-cast will be made on the stage from 9 to 9:30, with those an the program taking part. The Happy Chappies, of radio fame will be featured, and Dr. John Z. Davis of Salt Lake City and Dr. Don C. Merrill, both authorities authori-ties on the disease, will speak briefly on Friday and Saturday respectively. More scftool age children in the United States die from rheumatic fever than from all other diseases such as appendicitis, pneumonia, communicable com-municable diseases, tuberculosis and infantile paralysis. It is increasing in-creasing alarmingly fast, in the period from 1911-20 8.8 of fatal diseases was rheumatic fever, but in the period from 194M3 it had risen to 13.8. Fuller Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday at 1:3(1 at I Quist Funeral home for Bertha I Sabina Green Fuller, 61, who! died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vera Herrick in, Vermont ward, following a ling-. ering illness. Bishop Arch Pulham of the Vermont ward, conducted the service and spoke consoling words to the bereaved family. , Curtis Gordon and Mrs. Leo Ford rendered the music, accom panied by Cumorah Gordon. Burial took place in the Provo Burial park. Mrs. Fuller was born in Men-lo, Men-lo, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1884, a daughter daugh-ter of John and Anna Green. She received her education in the Menlo schools. On April 21, 1909, going to Wyoming, where they lived until three years ago, when they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada- Mrs. Fuller came to Orem last July because vf ill health. She was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by her hus band, three daughters, Mrs. Vera (Madeline) Herrick or Orem; Mrs. E. R. (Marjory) Ter-rill Ter-rill of Ventura, Calif-; and Mrs. G. V. (Dorics) Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, Dar-rell Dar-rell Fuller of San Bernardino, Calif.; Carol Fuller of Cheyenne, Wyo., one brother, two sisters; tea grandchildren ana one great-grandchild. Sharon Ward Relief Society Presents Program The Sharon ward Relief society so-ciety conducted the program at sacrament meeting Sunday evening, eve-ning, wtth Counselors Pearl Jepperson and Roseltha Vernon in charge. Mrs. Cleo Larsen gave a short talk on "Patterns of Prejudice and Persecution". Mrs. Sadie Elder narrated several sever-al important events in church history. Bishop J. Clayton Watts honored the visiting teachers in a short talk. Musical numbers were given by Mrs. Valene Garrison, Mrs. Sadie Elder, Mrs. Barbara Skinner, Mrs. Lois Downs, Mrs. Helen Kofford and Mrs. Genevieve Mangum. A large crowd was in attendance.
