The ceremony was performed at the Salt Lake temple. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harris, parents of the bride, entertained Friday evening in the first ward recreational hall at a reception and wedding dance, honor of the young couple. 260 guests were present to enjoy the occasion oc-casion and wish the young couple a happy voyage on the sea of matrimony. Mrs. Beth Gillman West, has received word that her husoand Elroy West is on his way home. The daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their meeting Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mary Jorman. The lesson was given by Jane'Elsmore and election elec-tion of officers, took place un der the direction of daughter Adybott and daughter Jones of American Fork. The new captain cap-tain will be Mary Jarman, with Martha Keeth 1st and Jane Els- more 2nd. Dorthy Johnson secretary and treasurer. Jennie Johnson, ass't sec. After the nomination a social hour was enjoyed, and dainty refreshments refresh-ments served. Mrs. Elizabeth Pratt was made very happy the past week when both her sons returned home. George Pratt received his discharge from the U. S. amy and Wm Pratt is enjoying a furlough from an army camp in California, Mrs. Blanche Nielson, Mr- and Mrs. Cleve Humphrey enjoyed a trip to Ogden, Evanston, Wyo. and Salt Lake, the past 2 weeks. Arnold Ivers of Los Angeles, Calif., who was recently released releas-ed from Navy service is visit ing this week with his mother, Mrs. Maud Ivers. He was accompanied ac-companied by a friend, Darrell Johnson, also released from the navy. Both young men have spent a great deal of time at the Marshall Islands. All Sunday school and Primary Pri-mary officers and teachers, are invited to the monthly planning meeting and social to be held Friday evening at 7:30 P-m. at the Relief society rooms. Mrs. Lois Johnson will give the lesson and Mrs. Clarence Schumaa and Mr. and Mrs. Arlo M. Anderson will be hosts for the affair. Last Sunday Miss Geniel Perry sang a solo, accompanied by Miss Nadine Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Jones sang a duet, at sacrament meeting. The speakers were Wilford S. Gillis-pie Gillis-pie and Stanley P. Stubbs, of the ward bishopric and ward clerk. A plan for the completion comple-tion of the renovation program of the ward was presented by Bishop J. Golden Taylor.
