Show GOOD WOMAN DIES after in an illness of little more than one week mrs airs mary alary K II if olsen hsen wife of J P olsen of the second ward closed her eyes in ill death at 4 m sunday last surrounded by her sorrowing hoi soi rowing husband and children the cause of mrs airs olsene demise was gall stones and a weak heart her suffering was intense but just prior to her passing away all pain seemed se cited to leave her body benumbing it so that the severe pain was not ap the sudden passing of mrs olsen was a j great shock to her friends in this city and elsewhere although it has been generally known that she be was not a strong homan having been a sufferer with the above named trouble for a number ot of years it is only a short time since she and her husband were doing some shopping up town and mrs T olsen had her customary word of good cheer for all whom she knew she was a lady in every sense of the word kindhearted kind hearted and true a companion and confident of her children t the grown ones as well as the smaller ones and was a help mate to her ter husband in every application ot of the term she was also als nery overy active in the ward where she resided having been a teacher in the relief society for many years and just recent 11 ly she was released as president of the primary association a position which she held fort for six years to know her was to love her for she had a most genial disposition and never failed to recognize her friends and acquaintances with a cheery smile wherever she met them two children have prec their mother to the spirit world while a husband eight children and a daugh ter of her sister now 16 years of age whom she has raised since that young lady was 2 days old are left to mourn the loss of a loving companion and mother mrs airs olsen was born in this city january 1837 1857 and was the daughter of mr and mra airs H P hansen she and her husband were joined in marriage on the of april 1874 her youngest child Is now 12 years of age and the two eldest are married she had 5 grandchildren grand children peace be to her memory she was one of gods noble abble handra aides and has gone to rep reap the reward of a well spent lle life stay may god bless and comfort those bereft giving un to 0 o the children tile the desire to emulate the he example of their mother and may mav the holy spirit sustain the husband and father that he may feel to say thy will be done funeral services were held in the second ward meeting house tuesday afternoon at 2 p m bishop blackburn presiding the hall ball was beautifully decorated in white aud and flowers and the wealth of floral emblems that were contributed simply buried the casket A roost most touchingly beautiful feature ot of the se sen rIces ices was the tribute of the primary association over which deceased presided only recently having been released when the congregation became seated the children marched in from the vestry each one carrying a boquet which they banked around the casket then tool took their seats at the close of the services the he children marched around the bier taking their boquete bo then formed in line at the head of the cortege and marched to the cemetery the so sneakers speakers were bp blackburn P C christensen josephne knudson alice INI II johnson charlotte doden boden bishop wright william lowe bishop A valentine J francis nier rell N J valentine pies IV C horsley and pres oleen N stohl each one adding his and her tri tribute bute of love to the memory of sister olsen and bearing testimony of her noble life the choir rendered the hymns what voice salutes the startled ear 0 my illy father and aguar a quartette composed of lottle lottie cozier mrs airs kaiser N J valentine and A funk sang sometime well understand the primary children also sang one of sister alsens favorite hymns the prayers were offered by jacob jensen and P F madsen respectively and the grae was dedicated by peter knudson about 60 carriages followed the remains to their final resting place in the cemetery |
