Show students air isues on KUER- FM , t are needed for "The Students are g 0 Cmtn KUER-F.M. radio jjj and Fridays from 9 p.m. "Jffcampus Show" began . "This is the first time a student oriented program has been used on KUER," said John Dehnel, traffic manager for the educational radio station. Our purpose is to try to be the pulse of the University and keep students informed of what's going on. We try to be the voice of the University and the community and reflect the University to the community. Whatever the students want to hear we'll give it to them," said Mr. Dehnel. Have Interview Facilities "Any responsible party who wishes to have air time can do so," said Russell Michaelson, KUER popular programming director. "We have the facilities here to interview candidates for student elections, have student debates, open forums, broadcast campus news and Greek news," he said. f" " i i hi n i i1 ii i mmmn f1 HU.MIHPI.M. The KUER-F.M. radio station which is 90.1 on the radio dial, has a 65-mile coverage area and broadcasts 12 hours everyday except Saturdays, national holidays and University holidays. "Our facilities are open to almost anyone. We'll help students publicize any way we can. We have the equipment here to record campus talent and we encourage those who have talent to be on the air," said Michaelson. Open For Ideas "If the Chronicle can have feature stories we can have feature interviews. We're wide open for ideas. We're equipped here to do just about anything that any of the downtown stations can do," said Mr. Dehnel. |
