Show Bryce visitors j up 10 percent The number of visitors I to Bryce Canyon National Park during July totaled ' 129,300. According to Park Superintendent Bob I Benton, this figure i represents a 10 percent I increase in visits com- I pared to the same month last year. Total park I visitation to date is up 6 I percent over last year. I Benton attributed much I of this increase to the I large number of foreign 'j tourists visiting the park. "On some days," ' remarked Benton, ! "nearly half the park visitors are from foreign countries." . Many of these people stay overnight in the park. Benton noted that 32,000 visitors used park campgrounds and concession con-cession cabins during July. Benton advises campers to arrive early in the day for the best selection of campsites. |
