The Gunnison Fox Team, which was sponsored by Vern's Outback (Vern and Marilyn Hatch) started off against Moroni on Wednesday . night with a hard fought game that was close until Gunnison pulled ahead and won 14-12. Next on the schedule was Ephraim. The game was close once again but some great pitching and timely hitting allowed Gunnison to pull ahead and win with a score of 10-7. The team is coached by Brian and Dawna Hamblin and Paul Peterson. They are sponsored by Signature Mortgage of Gunnison. The girls played three great games beating Moroni • and Manti early in the week and then defeating Ephraim 5-3 in the championship game.
