Both spectators and participants enjoyed the games. We are proud to announce the winners. We had some good participants this year, but John Mogle took first place, with TJ Christensen in 2nd and Clint Anderton at 3rd. Monies from the event goes to the Lion's new pavilion on the southwest corner of the park. To all of the participants, we thank you and hope you had a great time, see you next year. Pictured above is Rex Brown. The 14-15 years-old Gunnison All-Stars went to the Babe Ruth Utah South Tournament last week in Panquitch and came home as the champions! The Bulldogs are coached, by Dr. John Jackson and his assistants Fred Harris and Rohn Jensen. The dogs lost early in the tournament to a tough Mesquite team but came back to defeat Beaver and then Wayne County 18-3. This put them back in the championship game against Mesquite. In the championship game, the dogs played great baseball and came out on top with a score of 7-0. Jace Anderson, son of Mark and Deah Anderson, played a great week of baseball and was named the tournament MVP. The team now moves onto the Babe Ruth Statewide Tournament held in Taylorsville. Their first game will be Saturday at 5 p.m. "Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute." -Unknown toriica Jensen/Courtesy Above: Front row left to right: Trevor Madsen, Alan Boore, Xavier Jensen, Heston Neal and Shaun Gubeli.
