He was surrounded by his family who loved him. He was born January 27, 1916 in Mayfield, Utah to Joseph Nels and Emma Senora Sorensen Christiansen. Upon graduation from Manti High School, Harold attended Brigham Young University studying science. He married Ruth Beck on October 14, 1937 in Richfield, Utah, and they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on August 10, 1951. In addition to his schooling and being married, he also served his country during WW II. Harold was a wonderful man who dearly loved his wife, family, religion, scriptures, Mayfield, its residents, and the beautiful mountains surrounding it. He knew what was of real importance in life and deeply valued it. He immensely enjoyed playing the saxophone, doing yard work, gardening, and temple work. He pursued these interests with all his heart and soul. Harold retired in 1978 from the State of Utah as a State Food and Dairy Inspector. He served as a bishop, high councilman, gospel doctrine teacher, and diligent home teacher in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. He also was a temple ordinance worker and sealer for 25 years in the Manti; Provo, and St. George temples. His earthly life was filled with Christ-like love and service to everyone he knew. Harold is survived by his wife, Ruth, four of their children, Karl Joseph (Karen) Christiansen, South Jordan, Utah, Randal Harold (Karla) Christiansen, Salina, Utah, Lana Ruth (Danny) Hogan, Logan Utah, Jennie Lynn (Blaine) Raymond and Norma Salt Lake Temple in June Roundy of Gunnison, will of 1948.
