Nephi Meeting Sunday Eve Wins Two Games in Past Week - - DIED IN CANADA The following news item from The Cardston (Canada) News, concerning the death and funeral of a former Nephi resident, James Brigham Wright will be of Interest to our readers: The funeral service for Grandfather J. B. Wright was held Wednesday afternoon with' Bishop Geo. E. Peterson in charge. The speakers were: M. A. Coombs, Patriarch J. F. Anderson, Bishop C. W. Burt, Z. W. Jacobs and Pres. J. F. all of Cardston, and Bishop Geo. E. Peterson of Beazer. James Brigham Wright was born in Manchester, England, Feb. 2, eleven years old, he 1845, with his widowed mother Sarah Ann Brett Wright and a younger brother and sister emigrated to Utah, walking the entire distance across the Martin Hand plains with Cart Company in 1856 known in Church History as the belated company. More than half of this company made the extreme sacrifice on the plains. Mr. Wright located in Nephi, and In 1864 when a young man ninetean years old, he and six others from Nephi were called on a mission by Pres. Brigham Young to take and join the relief company organized to send relief to the English emigrants then on their way to Utah. It took six months to make the trip. There were two relief companies of sixty agons each, and the Indians were troublesome, they bad to Join, maktlng 120 wagons with four oxen to each wagon.
