the County Offices in DeltaSome concern about overtime nepotism and usage at the West Millard Swimming Pool was discussed Records to the first of the year were examined and a total of $86 in overtime was due to five lifeguards The money was paid Cindy Manning requested permission sometime ago to hire her daughter At the time five employees were needed and only three people had applied Manning arranged her schedule in order not to be supervising her daughter Another complaint was that an adult leader to supervise the youth life guards in the morning was not present Manning volunteered to cover that shift but that leaves the afternoon shift open Commissioner Draper suggested leaving the schedule as is during the morning The lifeguards are certified in CPR first aid and water safety Two lifeguards work together so one does not need to leave the chair to take fees A complaint was also received about the Manning family using the pool without paying to use the facility Past commissioners gave the Manning family permission to use the pool on a Sunday when it was closed to the public one day a year for a Christmas party The family docs the cleanup after the party The believes if Styrofoam insulation is used on the roof it will increase the fire hazard The foam panels could pick up moisture and make them too heavy for the structure to safely handle He noticed there were a few test panels set up Peterson acknowledged there is a heating problem with the building and suggests a fan system be set up to control humidity and close the windows The Commission said work
