Show Mrs. Sarah Wilson Celebrates 79th Birthday Mrs. Sarah Ellen Thompson Wilson Wil-son celebrated her 79th birthday at her home in this city Monday. About 20 of her friends and neighbors-called and surprised her, bringing their own picnic and serving serv-ing a -nice luncheon. Mrs Wilson was born in Ogden May 8 1R54, the daughter of John C and Anne Clark Thompson. Her father was one of the 1847 pion-neers pion-neers to Salt Lake City. She was married at the age of 15 to L. P. Pritchett in the Endowment En-dowment House in Salt Lake City and lived for several years in Og- dl?The family came to Mt. Pleasant in 1878 and since that time she has made her home here. Her husband died in 1883. She was married to James Wilson, Wil-son, a northerner in the Civil War, in 1894. He died June 9, 1911. She has been very active in her home and as a gardener and grower grow-er of beautiful plants. She is the mother of five children. chil-dren. One son, John Pritchett, prominent druggist of Huntington, Utah died in December, 1932. She is in fairly good health, is a splendid conversationalist and is alert upon all current topics, being an intensive reader. Her children are: Frank Pritchett, Prit-chett, Richfield, Utah; Mrs. A. H. Maiben, Arthur, Utah; Mrs. Floyd Anderson, Mt. Pleasant. She has five grandchildren, one of whom is the famous jocky, Johnny Maiben of Oakland, California; also five great-grandchildren. She is one . of the two widows of Civil War veterans of this city. Of her family of 18 brothers and sisters she has . one living brother, Will Thompson, Boise, Idaho; four sisters, -Mrs. Mary Child, Rexburg, Idaho; Mrs. Amanda West, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho; Mrs.. R. C. Smead and Mrs. . Henry Child, Riverdale, Utah. |
