Show , ' Zoological. I The Omaha Herald of Dec. 30th, i announces the arrival there of the 1 Zoological car, in charge of H. Carey I and son, of Ogden, en route for the Philadelphia garden. The car con-! con-! tained many fine specimens of Rocky Mountain wild beasts, with which to astonish the goodly people of the "Quaker City." Among these were a large Rocky Mountain fcxnale grb zly bear, twenty months old, and weighing 750 pounds; brown bear, six months old; cinnamon bear, six I months old j two brown bears, male 1 and female, twenty mouths old, and very fine specimens; two beautiful silver gray foxes; curious specimen cross fox; moose deer, from the Uintah Uin-tah Mountains;1 Wyoming black bear and a Utah black bear; large fe male black tailed deep from Utah. This animal as well as tho moose deer are beautiful creatures; wild cat, very large and fine; mountain wolf coyote. How the Penn-ltcs will stare. |
