Show WHAT PUSH WILL DO- j The reason why some towns grow is because there are some men of push and energy in them, w ho are not afraid to spend their time and money to boom their town, 3ays an exchange. They erect substantial buildings, organize stock companies aud establish factories; secure railroads, rail-roads, work for public improvements improve-ments and use every means in their power to induce people to locate in their town. Wherever they go they tell of the advantages of their j city, they write about it in every ! letter, they send circulars and newspapers to all whom they think they can induce to visit the cily; and w hen anyone visits them they : treat him so kindly that he falls in I with them and their city at once. It is enterprise aud everyone's! ! pulling together that makes a pro- j gressive city, and don't let the fact ! escape your memory. j |
