Show Jefferies-Nicholes Married In S. L. Married on the 36th wedding anniversary anni-versary of the bride's parents were Miss Fanny Jefferies and Eldred Clark Nicholes when they plighted their troth Saturday at 10 a. m. at the Lion house, 63 East South Temple Tem-ple street, Salt Lake City. Mrs. Nicholes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jefferies, 221 M street, Salt Lake City, and Mr. Nicholes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney W. Nicholes of American Fork. ' Pastel shades sweet peas and asters, as-ters, intermingled with greenery, formed a lqvely background for the ceremony at which President Clifford Clif-ford E. Young officiated. Following the rites a wedding breakfast for members of the two families and a few close friends honored the bridal pair. With her costume suit . of moss green, trimmed in leopard fur, Mrs. Nicholes wore an orchid corsage and carried brown accessories. Immediately Immed-iately after the breakfast the newly wedded couple left for a two weeks' honeymoon trip to the Pacific Northwest. On their return they will make their home in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Sidney W. Nicholes entertained entertain-ed at a miscellaneous shower for Miss Jefferies Wednesday evening. A musical program, combined with games and stunts was the feature of the evening. Fall flowers decorated the rooms. A dainty luncheon carrying carry-ing out a color scheme of pink and white was served. Forty-six attended. attend-ed. Mr. Nicholes is well known in American Fork, having been prominent promi-nent in music and athletics while attending American Fork high school. After graduating from high school, he attended Brigham Young university and the L. D. S. Business college. He made many friends during dur-ing the six years in which he was employed by the J. C. Penney company com-pany here. He is now affiliated with the Florsheim Shoe company in Salt Lake City. |
