Cruise of Love opens at Valley Center Playhouse The romantic comedy, "Cruise of Love," has opened at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon, and will run through June 16. "No need to spend $2,000 on a cruise. Just come to this production for $5 and have the time of your life," says theater producer Keith Renstrom. The cast includes Ray Taylor, Danny Hansen, Nicole Adams, Eric Smith, Roylen Griffin, Leslie Stott, Gina Adams, Jeff Michelle Blake, Michelle Scofield, Rick Cockrell, Bowden, Roberta Stephenson, Darryl Haslam and Stephanie Haslam. The play was written and directed by Jody Renstrom Ticket prices are $5 for regular admission, $4 for children, students and senior citizens or $20 per family. Performances are and Monday Friday, Saturday is watching kids have fun. And watching a group of young people portray some of America's d kids definitely falls into that category. The setting is You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, the musical adaptation of the character from the Charles Schulz comic strip, "Peanuts." Chad Taylor was delightful in the role of Charlie Brown. in one Perfectly moment, it was sheer magic to watch the sparkle come into his eyes when he talked of the cute little girl who was the unspoken object of his affection. Lori Heindel was also a very convincing Lucy, with a timbre to her acting voice that indicated her tendency toward crabbiness. Although she was required to deliver many of her lines over the top of musical background, she provided a good level of projection that allowed her to be clearly heard. Stewart Shelley as Linus kept the humor high, not only with the dry wit that is created through his lines, but also in the interaction he has with his prop, the famous blanket. Of particular note was the way he danced and talked to the blanket in his solo, or more accurately, evenings at 7 p.m. For reservations call 785-118- ArtsEntertainment For the week of May You're Brown a Good Man, Charlie Saturdays and some Saturday matinee presentations.
