We were pleased to receive a call yesterday from Richard May, Esq., ! who will be remembered by many of J our readers as the gentleman who I some time ago canvassed this neighborhood neigh-borhood for Lippincott's edition of j Chamber's E;icyclop;e.iia. He is . now engaged in soliciting subscrip-jtions subscrip-jtions for the Boydell Shakespeare, 'now being published by "Gcl;bie. &, iBarrie, Philadelphia. This work is a 1 reproduction by tho. HehoLype process pro-cess of engraving of that magnificent .scries of illustrations, which so faithfully faith-fully portray the spirit of sfiakcs-' sfiakcs-' pcarc's characters, known a3 the Boydcll collection. j The work will contain plates, all of which aro perfect studies in 'every variety of grouping and com-J com-J position, and every human e-.xpre-'sion faithlully. delineated.
