Show 1st. Resolved, That the article published in tho S.dt L iko Daily Uekai.d of March 19th, in answjr to a mechanic, be read to this meeting by the Secretary. 2nd. Resolved that it is the sense of this meeting that the statement therein is not justified by facts. Grd. Resolved, That wo the work-ingmeu work-ingmeu of Salt Lake in mass meeting meet-ing assembled, do most emphatically denounce aihe policy of inviting an outside laboring population into our midst, to flood the labor market as being inimical both to their interest and our own. 4th. Resolved, That it h tho expressed ex-pressed sense of this meeting that the labor market has been overstocked for at least two years, and that at no time has the demand been cqiud to th; supply. ' The meeting was addressed by sev- ' oral gentlemen, after which- it adjourned, ad-journed, and a new one organized for the purpose of nominating a committee, com-mittee, from the several crafts lo enquire en-quire into the condition of the respective res-pective trades, aud report at a future meeting to be called. |
