Show Offenders Are Called to Account The county sheriffs force and local peace officers have been investigating in-vestigating a series of thefts and burglaries committed in surrounding surround-ing communiiies during the past week. Last Sunday twenty-three fifty pound bags of flour and a hand wrought bridle owned by a young Tidwell boy of Moroni were stolen from the Moroni flour mills. In a search of suspects who were known to have been in the vicinity that day, the bridle was found by W. K. Peterson, cit?, marshall of Mt. Pleasant, at the home of Alma Allred in Mount Pleasant. Allred plead guilty when arranged ar-ranged in the justice's court and was fined $20. by justice of the peace, H. F. Wall, acting also as precinct justice. Further search at the home ol Mr. and Mrs Neldon Monsen, revealed re-vealed no flour, but a supply ol beer and Neldon Monson was sentenced to 100 days in the county coun-ty jail, this being his second conviction con-viction for the possession of "home brew." His wife also plead guilty guil-ty but no sentence was passed on her. To date, no trace has yet been found of the Hour but officers are still following several clues. The Anderson Meat and Grocery Groc-ery Store in Spring City has been burglarized twice during the past week and large quantities of merchandise, gas and oil been stolen but officers have not yet made any arrests, although several sev-eral suspects are under urveillance |
