Show v Messenger-Enterpris- Wasatch Academy to start new ski training program Called to Serve LDS Missions w y y&Hff '.Wtf 't vK 'i- v, Judy Boyer offering Professional Massage Therapy $ s & ii The administration of Wasatch Academy has recently announced plans to establish a high level cross country ski training program for students in grades 2 under the direction ofCoach Bill Bedford in the fall of 1992. Team Wasatch will participate in United States Ski Association competition in the Intermountain West as well as citizen races within Utah. The benefits ofa cross country academy at Wasatch include the long snow season in and above the Sanpete Valley, the high altitude, access to the Pine Creek Ranch groomed trails and Wasatch Plateau as training areas, and the schools ability to support student athletes who keep demanding competition and travel schedules. Training will consist of cross country running and dryland training in the fall; further conditioning and technique John Henrie and Renae Nielson instruction in the winter; and the option of continued cross country skiing or team sports in the spring. The greatest advantage to the Wasatch program according to Coach Bedford is that the Wasatch Plateau and foothills will make training possible from November In on-sno- w Schoen.
