She weighed 9 lbs 7 oz and is welcomed home by an older brother, Brenan, 7. Pleased grandparents are Glen and Carolyn Johnson, Manti; Harold and Larene Barker, Salina; Robert Johnson, Manti; Maurine Johnson, Manti and Vontess Jensen, Redmond. great-grandparent- s; I ; fra Returned from Brenda Hansen and Leonardus Linning LDS Mission Hansen - Linning Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hansen are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Eames - Olsen Brent and Linda Eames of Rexburg, Idaho, announce the marriage of their daughter, Brenda Eames, to Ryan Dee Olsen, son of Kenneth and Claudia Olsen of Manti, Utah. Their marriage will be solemnized today, March 19th, 1992, in the Manti LDS Temple. Brenda graduated from Madison High School and from Ricks College in Rexburg. She is now majoringin Music Education at Brigham Young University. Ryan graduated from Manti High School and is currently majoring in Physical Education at Snow College, in Ephraim. Ryan and Brenda both served a mission for the LDS Church in the Arizona, Phoenix full-tim- e Mission. Brenda, to Leonardus Linning, son of Laura Dickinson of Salt Lake City, and Leonardus Linning, Sr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Brenda graduated from Manti High School and Snow College with honors, and recently from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in business finance. Leo graduated from East High School and the University ofUtah, also with a bachelors degree in business finance. He served for two years in the Oregon Portland Mission. juju xpuMiMji They will be married in the Manti LDS Temple on Friday, March 20. Receptions will be held in their honor that evening at the home of the brides parents, and on Saturday, March 21, at the Inn at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. and Verna Christiansen celebrate 60th anniversary program will be held from 3:30 to and a buffet dinner will be served. 4 p.m. This union has been blessed with a generous posterity: four children, Murray Christiansen and wife, Norma, Mayfield; Marlene Cox, Manti; Sherrol Snow and husband, MoRell, Manti; Dixie Gregerson and husband, Ned, Cedar City. The Christiansens have resided in Salt Lake City and Lehi, but largely in Mayfield, Utah, where he has been employed as a rancher, trucker, merchant, and great-grandso- n Mr. and Mrs. Don A. Thompson of Ephraim, announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Andrea, to Ross W. Livingston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glade J. Livingston of Moroni. The couple will be married Tuesday, March 24, 1992, in the Manti LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Social Hall, the Ephraim 96 North Main Street. Andrea is a graduate ofManti High School and Snow College. Their home is one of orderliness, beauty and creativity. Mrs. Christiansen is known for her hospitality, beautiful handiwork and her outstanding book reports (which she commits totally to memory). They have both served in the church and community. Mr. Christiansen, a high priest, has served in the presidency of the Elders Quorum, as secretary of the high priests, home teacher for 30 plus years (with almost a flawless record for never missing a month), and also on the town board. Mrs. Christiansen has been active in all church auxiliaries in each organization, as well as serving as president in the Relief Society, MIA and Primary. Their home is their haven -they both enjoy caring for their flower gardens, yard and home. i "X x science major. The couple will live in Salt Lake City, where they will both continue their education at the Party set for March A KODY SCOTT SORENSEN 21 The annual Manti Old Folks Party will be held this year on Sat., Mar. 21 at 12:30 p.m. at the Manti Stake Center. Doug Squire, chairman, said that all citizens 65 years or older are invited. Also invited are widows and widowers. All should bring their own silverware, Squire said. Years ago, LDS Church President Brigham Young requested that one day each year be set aside to honor elderly people. Each year since then, Manti has had such a day. In connection with the dinner, one or more senior citizens are given special recognition. Single adult regional fireside is this Sunday regional single adult fireside, hosted by Gunnison Stake, will be held March 22 at the Gunnison Stake Center at 7 will tell about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir tour of Russia this past year.
