Show MessengerEnterprlse, Thursday, March 19, 1992 In memory Thompson Virginia Marie Larsen Thompson, age 72, returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father March 14, 1992 in the Sanpete Valley Hospital. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born June 15, 1919 in Ephraim, a daughter of Hillary Louis and Carrie Christiansen Larsen. Married Ray Niels Thompson May 15, 1939; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 28, 1955. She served many years in the Relief Society; served two stake missions in the Kearns Utah North Stake, and in other various positions during her life. She worked at the Arms Plant during World War II in Quality Control. Sewed for years for Carlisle Manufacturing and was a devoted housewife and mother. She spent many hours hunting, fishing and traveling with her husband and family. r, She especially enjoyedher travels to Mexico and Hawaii. Her hobbies included quilting, painting, making shell pictures and canning. Her family was the joy of her life. She is survived by her husband; one son and three daughters, Kenneth Ray (Dixie) Thompson, Orangeville; Mrs. Scott (Susan) Griffith, Salt Lake City ; Linda Garland Christensen, Mt. Pleasant; and Mrs. Dan (Tana) Daley, West Valley; 19 grandchildren; (two serving in the US Military); and six great- grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Alton (Astrid); DeCoy (Francis) both Ephraim; Richard Kenneth (VaLene)), Provo; Grace (Hayley) Anderson, Ephraim. Preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Marlin, Dorothy and Mildred. Funeral services were held March 18 in the Ephraim LDS Stake Center. Interment was in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. LaVar Samuel Isaacson LaVar Samuel Isaacson, died March 13, 1992 at his home in Sal t Lake City, after a long ill ness. Born May 30, 1907 in Ephraim, the eight child of Martin and Jemima Beal Isaacson. Married Gladys King, October 30, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she preceded him in death in 1969. Married Edith Lyman, December 17, 1969 in the Oakland LDS Temple. He graduated from Ephraim High School, was president his class. Graduated from Snow College 1928, BYU 1930, a music major. Taught music and band for five years in Minersville; 10 years in Riverton, Utah. Agent and General Agent for Lincoln Life Insurance Co. for years. He continually ranked at the top of sales nationwide. Charter member of Riverton Lions Club and Sugarhouse Lions Club. Member of Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 12 years; a fitting finale to his professional music career. Member of Olympus 3rd Ward, Olympus Stake. Survived by his wife, Edith; three children, L. King (Gwen), Sal t Lake City; G. Samuel (Twila), Grand Junction, Colo.; Shauna L (Dale) Rasmussen, TaylorsLinda ville; three Woodacre, Calif.; Jones, (Terry) Charles (Lisa) Magarian, Fresno, Calif.; Susan Magarian, Livermore, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 21 a sister, Lake I. Sarah Denison, Salt City. Preceded in death by two daughters, Lola Ivie, Ann Marie step-childre- n, Jenkins. Funeral services were held March 17, 1992 in the Olympus 3rd Ward Chapel. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. r PARENTS! Doris loved flowers and took pride in her yard and house. She worked in the sewing plant and was a devoted wife and mother. She served as a visiting teacher for many years. Norma Ilene Peterson Rosenberg, 66 year old Ephraim resident, died Friday, March 13, 1992 at her home of cancer. She was born November 7, 1925 at Ephraim, Utah, a daughter of Clayton Edgar and Esther Grace Bartholomew Peterson. She attended Ephraim schools. She graduated from Snow College, later attending Utah State University and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1948. She married Clair Eulyn Rosenberg on June 26, 1947 in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. She had lived in various Utah tommunities including Ogden, Murray andSalt Lake City where her husband managed J.C. Penney Stores. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served as companion to the Mission Doris 45 Stewart Hansen Survived by her husband, son Larry James (Berdine) Morley, Bountiful; daughter Arlene (Richard) Brienholt, Murray, Sharron (Edwin) Stilson, Manti; brothers: Gale R. Stewart, Humorous stories from Ephraim's Past Kay sville; Jack Stewart, Magna; 15 grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held March 16, 1992 in the Manti Second Ward. Interment was in (by the late Grace Johnson) the Manti City Cemetery. She was born July 27, 1916 in Manti, Utah to James William and Martha Henningsen Stewart Married Allen Perry Morley Feb. 16, 1934. He died in 1943. She married Max E. Hansen in Salt Lake City, Nov. 24, 1945. Solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Sept. 13, 1960. She was an active LDS Church member serving on the German name extraction with her husband. Served on old folks committee for many years. Past member of Literary Club.
