They'll be stationed here the next few weeks to help young men and . women who seek to "see the world." IMIES OPEiJ ' RECRUIT SPOT If! S. II. Staff Sgt. James Malgren and Sgt. Lillian Henry, Marine recruiters, recruit-ers, have set up the recruitment center on the Sugar House Plaza where they will be the next month. Staff Sgt. Malgren joined the Marines in 1943 and saw action in the Pacific theater of World War II. In 1950 he went to Korea where he served a year. He received six battle stars and the Korean ribbon. rib-bon. He has been a recruiting officer offi-cer the past year and a half. Sgt. Henry, who is recruiting for Women Marines, came from the recruiting school at Parris Island, South Carolina, and was previously stationed at the depot of supplies, San Francisco. She has been in the Women Marines for 22 months and says it offers travel, adventure and financial independence to the young women. Recruitments are taken into the ' Women's Marines from the ages 18 to 30. |
