Well, it's about time (it's about space) -excuse, please, I got carried away. Finally, though, and that "Network" movie may have had something to do with it - finally the Big Nielsen Three Broadcasting brothers have gotten the money-money, money-money, money-money (or MONY) point across to little sibling Public. Some are saying it's the best thing since the butter-up popper; others are saying it's good news; still others are saying it's really quite a light. Most little brothers go through the sophomoric socialist phase. It's academic. And baby Public was no exception. Try to teach the masses, humbug. hum-bug. Past not to get dressed without deodorant or how to spell relief or with whom you are in good hands, what can you teach? We all knew little Public's urge for long hair and nudity and frisbees was only an infantile phase. He's graduated now and found the world of many many (money-money) thousand dollar minutes. He's come around. Little Public wants a piece of the rock. He'd rather switch than fight. It's going to be Mercedes Benz limos and Russian Caviar and Cessna pressurized planes and Johnny Walker Black cast parties and the Hills of Beverly now. He'll spray under one arm with one can, under the other with another. He'll drink the uncola in his right hand, while his left will sing about the Pepsi generations. He'll buy a Chevy and a Ford and a Chrysler and a Datsun and a Toyota and a Mazda and a shape of things to come. His brothers, National, American and Central (strange names) are helping. Watch PBS this week. Here are the highlights: Wednesday, March 30, 8:00 p.m. - Special: "Godzilla Meets the Titanic and Alka Seltzer."
