Show W. S. A. ; The Woman's Suffrage association met Friday, November 30, to elect officets for the ensuing vair. The result is as follows: For president, Joanah Patton. For first vice-president, Grace Cheever. , E For eecoi d vice-president, Caroline Pratt. . For third vice presides,, Mrs. Myron Newell. .. - For secretary, Mr3, !w. da Anderson. For assistant secretary! Mrs. Sarah Cluil. For treasurer, Elizabetli D. Brown. For chairman, of executive committee, com-mittee, Mrs. Till. I For members of said committee: Celestia Strong, Melena Wilkina, Mrs. McBride, Mr3. Ellen Jakeman, Mrs. Deborah Billings, Mrs, "PTuth Bailey, Mrs. Martha Beasley and Mrs. Gee. A number of these were re-nomma- tions. The out-going president, Jane Snyder, gave a verbal report. Ths accounts, books, etc., werd all straight. Every regular meetir g nkd been he'd during ths past year, and ja number of parlor sessions, which had been productive pro-ductive of much good. A vote of thanks was tendered MrB Snyder for faithful services. County President, Electa Bullock, read a letter from Mrs. E. B. Wells, territorial president, urgii g thorough organisation, and active work was necessary; nec-essary; said the suffrage was by no means assured, that a number of prominent prom-inent members of both parties were strongly opposed. Had Kansas lived up to her platform ' that rould be a suffrage state now. - That representatives representa-tives from leading counties should Da present when that question came be fore that convention; desired Utah county to send a delegate the national na-tional convention at Atta Georgia in February.
