Miss Rhoda Jensen left for Mt. Pleasant last Monday morning. Miss Jensen has enrolled as student in the Wasatch academy. Dealers say that "excited buying" is the blame for the high price of shoes. It is advised that you remain calm while purchasing footgear. Mrs. C. W. Perkins departed last week for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Sullivan, at East Helena, Mont. Mrs. Perkins expects Mrs. Will Fredrickson of Salt Lake and Miss Aleda Jensen of Ephraim, were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Willardson last Friday. Fri-day. Mrs. Maria Sorenson and children, who have been the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Mad-sen Mad-sen for the past two months, left for their home in Los Angeles last Saturday. Satur-day. Miss Ruth Perkins, who has been with the Modern Market as clork for some time past, has tendered her resignation res-ignation and the first of the week she left for Provo. Miss Perkins will enroll as a student in the Brigham Young academy. C. N. Jensen, who was accompanied accompa-nied to Salt Lake by Mrs. Jensen, returned re-turned to Gunnison last Sunday evening. ev-ening. Mr. Jensen and family will leave the last of this week for the capitol city where they will permanently perma-nently reside. J. W. Jones, cashier of the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley bank, was a traveler to Salt Lake last Monday. Mr. Jones will spend several days visiting with his wife, who is now rapidly convalescing conva-lescing from an operation which she recently underwent. |
