Show Plans for tho new building of the Utah Hotel company, to be erected at the corner of Main street and South temple, show an unusually beautiful building, len stories high, with a three-story three-story tower, making the total height of the structure thirteen stories and constructed in three wings each .(iOxIGo feet in size. The building will face south on South Temple, with a spacious spa-cious vestibule and hall on the Main street side of the building. A feature of the building will be the beautiful lobby occupying rho spaco between the east: and west wings two stories in height and furnished with a roof of art glass forming one of the handsomest bits of construction that has ever been put into a building in the intcrmouii-tain intcrmouii-tain country. On the ground floor are the dining room, n0.70 feet in size, situated on the west side of the building, next lo Main street, the banking room at the corner and the beautiful lobby. WJxSO feet in size. The finish of the lobby will bo mahogony, of the dining room oak and of the banking room, birch. This Jat-ter Jat-ter portion of the building .will be ar- ranged with every convenience for conducting con-ducting a tinancial institution, with vaults, rooms and offices for the bank officers and complete enuipment of the most modem design. .o arrangements have yet been made for anv of the local banking institutions to 'occupy this space, but it was suggested when the building was Jirst contemplated that Ihe State Bank of Utah should have this location, and although nothing definite defi-nite has been done b' that institution, indications point to the use of the location lo-cation by that bank. The eastern portion of the ground floor, just, east of the lobbv, will be occupied by stores. The office will be on t lio east side of the building, just in the rear of these sforos. The northern north-ern side of the structure will be occupied occu-pied by a large baggage room, telephone room, check room, toilet rooms and other accessories of a fully equipped hotol building. Two electric passenger elevators and a freight elevator will be placed at the north end of the lobbv facing tho enl ranee. A handsome ball room will be located lo-cated on the second floor and together with the supper room at the north end, musicians' stand and retiring rooms at; tho south end will occupy the entire north nnd south dimensions of the building. Ladies' drawing room, parlors par-lors and other similar apartments will be located on the. second mezzanine floor. These rooms will bo (in i shed i.i birch. The upper portions of the building beginning at the fonrlh floor will bo occupied bv the '105 guest, rooms. The arrangements of these floors follow the same general plan with a wide passage way ruuning through the center of each of tho three wings, with two tiers of guest rooms on each. These rooms will also be furnished in birch and will be titled with the most complete modern equipment. equip-ment. . 11 A feature of the interior arrangements arrange-ments will be a suite of rooms known as the President's suite, lo be located on the second floor at tho southwest corner of the building, and containing library, parlor, dining room, reception room and chamber. These rooms will bo niagniliceutly equipped and finished in mahogony. Tho building will be fireproof fire-proof throughout, and finished outside in white terra cotta.
