jesus christ of latter day saints january 1890 at ai norwich norfolk england emigrated to utah august 12 WO 1890 and later settled in spanish fork where he passed away leaving a widow six daughters and four sons and thirty three grandchildren his end was peaceful MARGARET ELEN VAN NOTTA helper sept 16 1898 this evening at my wife passed on to another of life she had given birt birth 11 to her seventh son on august and he be passed away on the her maiden en name was margaret elen partington she was born in lancashire england may 24 2 1864 was married to J JEL van notta october 17 1884 J H born in Blake down near kidderminster worcestershire england aug 10 1811 embraced the dospel with her husband in the year 1840 was baptized on the of april W S that abrat year was among those who ivere were obliged to leave their homes in nauvoo in 1846 came to the valleys of afia in 1849 and was among the plo feelers to tron iron county in 1852 la in 1860 1960 she moved to pinto pin to where county waft in the year 1868 moved to bear rover after city boxelder Box elder county and in tm 1875 moved to hyrum here she labored in the relief society and was a faithful wife and a devoted mother she the lived and died a faithful latter day saint funeral services were held id noon sunday september alth 1898 there was a large audience to pay day their iiii respects to this faithful woman elders jens lauritzen Laurl charles C shaw and bishop john P F wright wryght bore Ug testimony to her faithfulness she leaves a husband nine children grandchildren and a large circle of friends sister larsen sleeps on the hillside and will come again with the just and true whom the lord jesus christ chaiet will call to life again at his second coming corn com MRS JANE WILKIE BLOOD early on the morning of the aih of september er 1898 the spirit of sister jane ay blood wife of elder william blood of CS quitted its earthly tabernacle and went back to god jhb gave it aa existence there to await the resurrection of the just there was gathered her when the end came at 1280 um her husband and all tl of her ten children her ber father john hooper her sister mrs margaret manning and her brothers george galbraith and john W hooper 1 the deceased had been an invalid and at times a great sufferer for nearly six months prior to her death having been stricken with hemorrhage of the brain on march 21 1898 an attack from which she seemed utterly unable to recover every attention that loving hands could bestow was given her but beyo beyond nd easing her pain pa inand and ministering to her comfort the efforts of friends and physicians were alike unavailing unav aling she became weaker day after day finally sinking into a comatose condition and the last few days she slept coni st antly the end came peacefully i there was no struggle no word was spoken but as if an angels hand had touched her brow and removed from it the tracings of prolonged suffering and illness her face assumed a calm and happy expression as the spirit passed away jane wilkie hooper blood was the daughter of john and annie wilkie hooper Hoo iper and she was born in southampton hampshire england on may 2 1845 while she was an infant h her er parents moved to bristol and were we re engaged as steward and stewardess on the steamship Brilli brilliant Apt which sailed I 1 between bristol and cornwall her mother joined the church in 1852 and in 1853 her father also became a latter day saint in january 1854 the family from cornwall to come to utah and early in february they sailed from liverpool for new orleans on the sailing vessel golconda arriving at their destination after a six weeks voyage they reached salt lake city on october 3 1854 after having walked the greater part of the distance across the plains on april 17 1855 the family came to Kay aville where they resided three years and then moved to ogden brother and sister blood were married on september 9 1861 and her home has been in kaysville Kays ville ever since she has been very active and prominent I 1 n in the various local church organizations zat ions she was the oldest member of the ward choir and was an officer of the relief society and the thel sabbath school whey the kaysville Kays ville primary association was organized in 1879 she was chosen as president a position which she continued to fill anul her death during recent years much of her time has been devoted to public work and to oaring caring for the sick alck her greatest pleasure seemed to be in teaching and training children she was a faithful true and consistent latter day saint a compassionate and loving wife and mother a friend to the aged the poor and infirm and her memory will be cherished by all ail who knew her in life at the funeral services which were held on september the s speakers were elders F D richards angus M cannon and george C lambert of som salt lake and rosel hyde wm court and bishop barton of kaysville raysville Kays
