blanding il by florence galbraith mrs geneva steele and children are here to spent spend a few days with mrs steeles parents mr and mrs dave black sr the coles are still in our midst and seem to like our town fine before long every ticker in town will be fit as a fiddle mr and mrs bob lyman have a new boy born july ath at the moab hospital all concerned are doing fine even bob mr and mrs joe hunt and children and mr and mrs loren hawkins ate dinner at devil canyon sunday afternoon janet nielson donald blake myrtle palmer and dick nielson went to monumental valley last weekend week end for an outing the A Z brown family spent the fourth together in the blue mountains mr and mrs W C lyman went with them to visit their old home there once more dale gordon and kent redd motored to cortez saturday to meet their brother vincent who is working in colorado and brought him here for the fourth vincent returned to his work tuesday his father and mother drove back with him returning tuesday night rozella and Bev belfry Fry perkins entertained at a buffet supper after the dance the night of july ath ten guests were invited this party was at the H C perkins home the american legion auxiliary will hold its next monthly meeting at the home of mrs louie redd for the purpose of electing officers for the coming wear A large crowd of ladies Is expected to attend and help elect officers refreshments fresh ments will be served by mrs redd af at the close of the m ace pros louise Y robison 0 odthe th e general board ruluf rulief society of salt lake was the guest of mrs ha t e barton tuesday and wednesday while here mrs ro robison buon gave a lecture at the relief society building and awarded honors to those who earned them by attending the health classes held the past six weeks A large number of ladies attended the celebration on the fourth of july turned out to be a huge 0 success the boxing bouts were attended by a big crowd they were between john kimberlee Kim merlee and rudy bennick a boy and mike gans and howard kim merlee the boys all showed very good sportsmanship the 5 in the evening was well atta 11 il and was the best ever af mr and mrs dee bayles were visited by mrs bayles mother mrs halliday and nd mrs bayles sis er mrs mis josephine christensen and two children and four of mrs bayles nieces and their husbands the past ten days while here they went swimming picnicking picnic ing and horseback riding mrs bayles will go on a vacation into the blue mountains with her guests for 3 days after which she will go to salt lake for a weeks rest
