I, three schools in Farmington will combine to sponsor a workshop on positive discipline. Beginning at 4 p.m. the first section will be on positive discipline outside the home, in school, church or community. It will be of special help to school teachers, faculty, adminis trators, church teachers and leaders, Cub or Scout leaders. At 6 p.m. a light supper will be served for $1.50. At 7 p.m. a workshop on positive discipline in the home will be discussed. Both workshops are open to the public and are being taught by Jane Nelsen. She is the mother of seven children and is the direc tor of the Title VI exemplary project. She is the author of Positive Discipline and Under- standing, Eliminating Stress and Dissatisfaction in Life and Relationships, The participants will learn effective, positive methods of working with children. Ms. Nelsen will cover the following top Course for parents scheduled at PERC FARMINGTON The course Systematic Training for Effective is being offered Parenting through the Davis School Districts Parent Education Resource Center and will begin Wednesday, Oct. 15. The course offers many options to parents whose goal is raising responsible children who will grow into responsible adults. In addition to theory, the course teaches many skills of value to parents in dealing with the everyday challenges of parenthood. The program consists of five sessions held at Monte Vista Center, 100 S. 200 E Farmington.
